Thanks to Clancy Wiggum and Lesley Gore, lollipops will probably never become a serious food item.
The ‘sunshine’ and ‘rainbow’ associations are too catchy.
But hey—at least their flavors can be cool.
A few lollipop artisans have thought beyond blue raspberry and created flavors such as maple sugar [for the Northerners] and sweet tea [for the Southerners].
Add cool packaging…
And the lollipop has nearly overcome its sunshiny stereotype.
But, if you believe the prejudice is permanent, we might as well embrace it. Make lollipops into festive turkeys.
Bonus points for creativity?
