It’s mid-September, which means that nearly every wheat field has been cropped clean in the northern hemisphere.
If you still have an un-harvested wheat field in your area (e.g. in northern Canada) you should take advantage of it right now before the final grains are stripped away.
For the rest of us—‘us’ being the cool people who relive Gladiator every year by walking poetically through the wheat fields and hoping that the farmer doesn’t see us—we can either A.) cry about the loss, or B.) look at photos of wheat, play the Gladiator soundtrack, and pretend we’re still cool.
